1937-1950 Green Pelikan 100Ns

The Pelikan 100N:
The Pelikan 100N, produced from 1937 until some time in the early 1950s, is larger and more streamlined than the classic Pelikan 100 and holds correspondingly more ink. Early models have the same hard rubber charm; late models, with their synthetic seals, make tough and reliable little workhorses. There are two capband styles for 100Ns, as the photograph shows. We tend to have slightly more pens of the two-capband style come through the site. The pens described below have correct parts for the years listed unless otherwise noted. Nibs swaps are usually possible, and more details are available on request.
Pens available:

PE1610, from 1938, is an interesting early mixed construction 100N. The mechanism and captop are hard rubber, cap tube celluloid, with a darkened but translucent yellow body. The nib is an extremely flexible medium 585 14 Karat. $395.00. SOLD!

PE 1687: 1939 Pelikan 100N. An interesting early wartime pen with the dark green cellulose acetate body, celluloid cap and filling mechanism, but an original hard rubber captop. The nib is an incised script 585, 14 Karat medium to fine with more than average flex. This one should be used, just for the nib. $395.00. SOLD!

PE 1688: 1940 Pelikan 100N. Very clean wartime pen with a smooth, rigid medium CN nib and a lovely marbled binde. $350.00.

PE 1686: 1948 Pelikan 100N. Another good user, with a spectacular OB Italic CN nib. If you haven't tried the Pelikan steel nibs, you should and this one is as good as they get. Not much else to say about this pen. A great bargain for a super user at $375.00.

PE 1685: 1948 Pelikan 100N. A good, clean postwar pen, a fine user grade pen or part of an emerging collection. The plain script 585 14 Karat nib is a medium with moderate to light flex. Nice shiny trim. $375.00. SOLD!
