From Left:
PE1738 is a 1935 Pelikan 100 in tortoise and red hard rubber. That's right, not a 100N, but a real 100. This pen is far from perfect, the inkwindow is dark and the binde shows repair work. The price reflects that. The nib is an early incised script 14 Karat. $1500.00, for a pen you are unlikely to see very often.
Alternatively, I can supply this pen with a fresh binde on on of my newly made barrels. Same price. SOLD!
PE1744 is a 1938 Pelikan 100N in tortoise and red hard rubber. This one has long resided in my collection, but it's time for it to go. This pen is a fine, user grade pen with a smooth HEF nib. It has a few flaws, most noticeably some surface crazing to the ink window which is green celluloid and fairly dark. The crazing does not affect the integrity of the pen and it is fully guaranteed. It also has initials F.C.F on the cap, although the clip could be moved to hide them. A good pen at a fine price. $750.00 SOLD!
PE1723 is a 1939 Pelikan 100N in tortoise and red hard rubber with a dark green celluloid ink window. This is medium colored tortoise with an exceptional OBB incised script 585 nib. This pen is completely correct and without significant flaws. $1600.00.
PE1722, a lovely 1939 Pelikan 101N in tortoise. This pen is free of the usual staining and the top and bottom match perfectly. However, it does have a stabilized crack to the cap, extending about ¾ of an inch. The price reflects this, the pen's only flaw. Dark green celluloid ink window, medium incised script 585 nib with the curious line of dots below the 14 Karat that you sometimes see. $1200.00.
PE1734 is a 1944(?) Pelikan 101N. This is the short captop model with a late wartime acrylic barrel, a really uncommon pen. But that's not all. The short captop is imprinted "Pelican," indicating a British empire model. The filler, interestingly is 100 and not 100N. The nib is a 585 14K incised script medium. An extraordinary pen among extraordinary pens. $1900.00. SOLD!
PE1745: a 1937 Pelikan 200. Tortoise and red hard rubber. The pencil to match a 100, 100N, and early 101 or 101N. The plating on the clip is a bit weak and the captop imprint likewise. $200.00. SOLD!
PE1755 (not depicted): a 1948 Pelikan 100N in red hard rubber and
celluloid with a nice light shell and red colored binde. A wonderful
pen with no flaws and rare Export marking at the bottom of the binde.
The nib is a correct incised script 585 14 Karat in fine to medium
with superb flex. This is one not to be missed. $1600.00 SOLD!
