1950s Pelikan 400s, tortoise striped with brown cap. These are selling faster than we can list them, hence the combined listing. Great looking 400s, always elegant and no two alike (so the picture is representative only). You can sit for hours (assuming you have nothing better to do) and look into the colors and patterns, great for meetings. Wonderful pens!! The classic Pelikan, everyone should have one. PE1873: This pen, from 1954, is extremely clean with a somewhat worn nib sticker remaining. It has seen some use, but not much. The nib is a logo style medium with good flex. $265.00 PE1918: This pen, from 1955, is a particularly fine example with perfectly matching cap and turning knob and a tortoise barrel with nice rich even brown highlights with a touch of red. An OB logo style nib makes this a superb pen in all ways. $265.00 ~~PE1919~~: This is a great example, from 1953, with perfectly matching cap and turning knob and a lighter tortoise barrel with even brown and red highlights. The nib on this is the older double incised script model marked O, a medium with very good flex. $250.00 SOLD! PE1920: A lovely pen from 1955 with matching cap and turning knob. The tortoise barrel is light with large patches of darker highlights and only a hint of red. An OB logo style nib makes this an all-around spectacular pen. $265.00 ~~PE1921~~: This is an early (1950) tortoise 400 with a plain script OM nib with turning knob to match. The barrel is a light, pale tortoise with minor highlights. Very much complete, correct and original. It does have a small superficial flaw on the turning knob, but since this pen is so original, I have not attempted to resurface it nor replace it. $250.00 SOLD! PE1922: 1955 Pelikan 400 in tortoise. This pen with a light barrel with hints of reddish brown highlighting is most striking in appearance. The KF (ballpointed) nib makes it superb for those meetings when you have to take lots of rapid notes. In between, it is lovely to gaze at. $250.00 PE1972: 1954 Pelikan 400 in tortoise with brown cap. Light tortoise barrel with minor brown highlights. The pen shows a bit of wear and a hint of brassing to the lip of the cap band. Condition is merely Good. The nib is a logo style 14 K fine with minimal flex. $245.00
